Location : Birmingham, Alabama

Pay Rate: $28.00/hour
Job Summary:
Dover Staffing is seeking a skilled Data Management Specialist 1 to support engineering data workflows and CAD file management for one of our valued clients . This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with hands-on experience in Autodesk Vault and AutoCAD, and a solid understanding of engineering data systems.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as liaison between the Autodesk Vault database team and Civil 3D subject matter experts
Troubleshoot Vault-related issues (e.g., file check-in/check-out errors, version conflicts)
Manage and maintain the Autodesk Vault database
Administer Vault user accounts, roles, and permissions
Develop and implement workflow processes and lifecycle management
Support integration between AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Vault
Collaborate with engineers, CAD designers, and IT teams
Assist with Vault upgrades, patching, and system testing
Provide training and onboarding for new Vault users
Document support procedures and build internal knowledge base
Participate in occasional office meetings as required
Qualifications
Associate or Bachelorβs Degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of hands-on experience with Autodesk Vault and AutoCAD
Experience with Civil 3D is a plus
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Highly organized and task-oriented
Self-starter with ability to work independently
Solid understanding of engineering data management, version control, and CAD file structures
Familiarity with Windows Server environments and SQL databases is a plus
