Data Mapping Specialist

Remote position
Max pay rate: $55/hr w2 + benefits
1 year initial duration contract.
Large enterprise client background + heavy Databricks, SQL, and Apache Spark/PySpark are key fitment points.
Notes: This candidate will help with doing data mapping (ETL), validation, and understanding data attributes. The data mapping is large, and at least 40 tables of data - This candidate will need to be able to query data, combining a lot of different data. This person will need to understand how API validations work. VERY strong EXCEL and SQL. Getting into the requirements, getting involved with lead analyst and breaking down into smaller chunks. The impact is doing analysis, working with engineers and devs to understand development. Once the development is completed, the validation data/ testing/ and understanding the business domain. Working with different technologies, getting to learn/ touch Azure and Databricks in the environment. VERY COLLABORATIVE group and works across all different business units within Enterprise. This role is open to US remote workers willing to work core central business hours. .
As a Senior Software Analyst on the Cloud Data Engineering team, you will be responsible for evaluating business requests to determine feasibility, identifying options, and recommending solutions for software development or enhancements. You will assist with interpreting customer requirements into conceptual and logical design specifications. You will play a role in shaping product design by gathering, interpreting, reviewing, validating, documenting, and maintaining business and functional requirements across our data environment to support product development. This will also include using SQL queries to perform gap/risk analysis and functional testing to support our products. At times, you will provide support and troubleshoot the teams applications and products.
You will assist with developing interfaces and prototypes, recommending changes to meet requirements, and researching and documenting application/services issues. You will be in a position to provide instruction and guidance to less senior team members on new tasks and assignments.
Additionally, you will be involved in data mapping. This is essential for various data management tasks, such as data migration, integration, transformation, and warehousing.
In this role, you will be asked to research and present information in response to questions related to business standards. You may participate in testing, identifying potential problems and researching opportunities to minimize complexity. You will actively investigate, interpret, collaborate, understand and document the application/service functionality from the business perspective. It is imperative that you acknowledge and interpret the business goals, objectives, report improvements through system enhancements, process improvements and issue resolution.
To be successful, you will need to demonstrate strong personal ownership and accountability, relationship management, team building, organization, prioritization, problem-solving, change management, executive-level written, and oral communication.

β’ Strong knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint Point and Visio 2010
β’ Basic knowledge of JIRA/Confluence or another Project Tracking System
β’ Familiarity with regression testing, release testing, and/or troubleshooting system issues
β’ Experience complying with data security standards and working with enterprise-wide systems
β’ Must be organized with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to timelines
β’ Must have strong attention to detail and ability to document both system design information and processes
β’ Ability to identify root cause and conduct initial investigation into problems as they arise
β’ Must have proven experience in communicating and collaborating with all levels of management
β’ Ability to partner with software development team members to communicate a detailed understanding of requirements
β’ Ability to clearly define and create detailed documentation to describe complex business processes to the lowest level
β’ Ability to validate that new software releases are production ready and provide documentation for it to end users

Pay Range: $50 - $55/hr W2 + benefits
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
