Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Modeler/Analyst to support the MF EBM implementation and work on cross-division data priorities for a Mortgage Account client in McLean, VA. This position involves working with business teams to help streamline data flow, specifically within EBM/Nexus Processing, and providing essential data modeling and analytical support for ongoing projects like Finance Roadmap, Regulatory Reporting, Enterprise Risk Capital Framework (ERCF), and more.

Responsibilities:
• Support MF EBM Implementation: Collaborate with multiple divisions to ensure data flow from Mortgage Finance (MF) to EBM/Nexus Processing, enabling better access to critical data across teams.
• Data Modeling & Analysis: Perform detailed analysis of consumer processes, needs, and data requirements, creating data models, schemas, and workflows for multiple product teams (up to 10 at a time).
• Entity Mapping & Data Lineage: Work with tools like ER Studio to model data, map data flow, and track lineage. Maintain workflows and statecharts to capture accurate data and business rules.
• Governance & Standardization: Contribute to data model governance efforts, such as enum standardization, key attribute profiling, and data solutioning.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Engage with business teams to capture requirements and ensure alignment between the EBM model and MFLDM (Mortgage Finance Logical Data Model).
• Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed documentation, including transcription of entities and attributes, for various stakeholders, ensuring clarity and understanding.
Must-Have Qualifications:
• 7+ years of hands-on experience with data modeling and database design tools (Experience with ER Studio highly preferred).
• Strong proficiency with data mapping tools, such as XMLSpy.
• In-depth knowledge of workflow and statecharts to model and map complex business processes.
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and articulate business concepts in a clear and concise manner.
• Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience working in a Mortgage environment is preferred but not required.
