A leading London Market Insurer is seeking an experienced Data Modeler / Data Architect to lead the enterprise data modelling strategy across multiple core insurance domains including Underwriting, Claims, Delegated Authority, and Ceded Reinsurance.
This assignment will play a pivotal role in shaping and aligning data models with Blueprint II standards, supporting the migration and modernisation of data architecture within an Azure-based platform.
This is an initial 6 month contract with a day rate of £550 - £600 Outside IR35. Speciality Insurance/Lloyd's Market experience is required.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the review, assessment, and optimisation of the existing enterprise data model.
• Design and implement target-state data models to support modernisation initiatives across underwriting, claims, DA, and reinsurance.
• Align data modelling practices with Blueprint II and London Market modernisation frameworks.
• Embed new models into a cloud-first Azure environment, working closely with engineering teams using Databricks.
• Maintain and govern enterprise data models using Erwin Data Modeler.
Requirements:
• Extensive experience in enterprise data modelling within the Specialty or London Market Insurance space.
• Strong understanding of Insurance domains and systems including Underwriting, Claims, Delegated Authority, and Ceded Reinsurance.
• Proven track record implementing or aligning data modelling to Blueprint II standards.
• Deep technical experience with:
• Erwin Data Modeler (essential)
• Azure Data Services
