A leading global tech company is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join their London-based team on a 12-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-impact, data-driven initiatives within a fast-paced product environment.
About the Role
You will work closely with engineering, product, and quality/evaluation teams to deliver actionable insights that drive strategic decisions. This role sits within a team of 18 and is being hired as maternity cover.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Analyze large and complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities.
• Develop and implement statistical models and machine learning solutions to support business decisions.
• Partner with product managers to define and measure success metrics.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to assess the impact of product feature launches.
• Communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ensure data accuracy, compliance, and adherence to internal processes.
What We’re Looking For (Non-Negotiables)
• 5+ years’ experience in Data Science or a closely related analytical field.
• Strong proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and core data analysis/programming tools.
• Solid background in statistical modelling, machine learning, and data interpretation.
• Experience partnering with product teams to influence product decisions and metrics.
Nice-to-Haves
• Experience translating data insights into strategic product recommendations.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
• Background in data engineering or experience in support/integrity-focused environments.
Salary
£86,000 per annum (pro rata) for the duration of the 12-month contract.
