Data Scientist

We are looking for a sharp, analytically driven Data Scientist to join a high-impact project focused on enrollment, student success, and institutional performance analytics. This is a contract opportunity (May through September, with strong potential for extension) for someone who thrives on turning complex data into clear, actionable insights — especially in an education or student outcomes environment. About the Role: You’ll work on meaningful, real-world problems using advanced analytics and large language models (LLMs) to drive better decision-making. This is not a generic ML deployment role — we’re looking for someone who truly understands data, can ask the right questions, and deliver insights that matter. Key Responsibilities: • Analyze complex datasets to uncover trends and actionable insights • Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical approaches • Apply statistical methods, machine learning, and LLM techniques to solve practical problems • Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn data into strategy Must-Have Experience: • 3–4+ years of hands-on Data Science experience • Strong background working with academic, enrollment, or student success data (highly preferred) • Deep understanding of analytics and how to derive value from data (beyond just building models) • Experience applying Large Language Models (LLMs) in analytical contexts • Excellent communication skills — able to explain complex findings simply Position Details: • Location: 100% Remote • Duration: May – End of September (strong chance to extend) This is a high-visibility contract with real potential for extension.
