Data Scientist II
Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Data Scientist for a contract position in Richfield, MN. The opportunity will be six months with a strong chance for a long-term extension.
Position Summary: Reporting and insights provides the data and dashboards that help marketers grow the media network and ensure that our marketing partners receive the most relevant and actionable information before, during and after a marketing campaign.The primary project for FY26 will be converting our on-prem tableau reports to connect to the cloud data and tableau infrastructure. We will also be enhancing the current reporting and developing new analytic tools.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
β’ Develop reports using available tools and metrics to track campaign performance, business trends, customer behavior and other key success indicators.
β’ Leverage business knowledge and analytical skills to translate complex results into clear insights and actions for decision-makers.
β’ Use full ecosystem of data sources, internal and external, to "connect the dots" as it relates to all consumer touch points and identify opportunities for tangible business improvements.
β’ Use available data sources to analyze online customer browse behavior, including analysis of anonymous web browsing data.
β’ Synthesize multiple sources of data as well as large data sets.
β’ Routinely QAs own work to high quality standards and ensures integrity of the information. Troubleshoot any data issues related to tracking and reporting.
β’ Strong communication regarding reporting changes or updates.
Qualifications:
β’ 3 years of experience writing SQL
β’ 2 years experience with reporting, forecasting, analytics or site/campaign optimization
β’ 2 years experience with business dashboard creation
β’ 1 year experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint)
β’ 2 years experience with process documentation
Preferred:
β’ Experience with Google Big Query and cloud platform
β’ Experience with tableau, looker, and power BI
β’ Experience with ad management platforms such as Google Ad Manager (GAM) or Yahoo! Advertising
β’ Experience with Github in enterprise environment
