JOB DESCRIPTION:
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Create and maintain accurate customer/brand/SKU-level demand forecasts.
β’ Analyze historical sales, market trends, and seasonal patterns to improve forecast accuracy.
β’ Present forecast insights and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams.
β’ Generate and interpret reports using statistical methods and demand planning tools.
β’ Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and other internal teams.
β’ Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) like fill rates and forecast error.
β’ Run weekly reports to track order status, fill rates, and backorders.
β’ Communicate supply recovery plans to Sales, Customer Service, and Leadership.
β’ Manage internal/external inventory flow to maximize order fulfillment.
β’ Develop PowerPoint decks, Excel recaps, and email narratives for executive presentation.
β’ Lead and facilitate forecast meetings with internal stakeholders and customers.
β’ Balance supply requests against financial plans and production capacity.
β’ Co-manage and support the training and development of one indirect report.
β’ Assist in planning and conducting training workshops for new and current demand planners.
β’ Drive continuous improvement of planning tools, reports, and forecasting processes.
β’ Understand and apply replenishment vs. New Product Introduction (NPI) strategies.
β’ Develop end-to-end knowledge of the supply chain to support business decisions.
Basic Qualifications:
β’ Bachelor s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Mathematics, Economics, or related field.
β’ 5+ years of experience in demand planning or similar roles.
β’ Strong analytical and mathematical mindset with ability to translate data into insights.
β’ Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, IF statements).
β’ Proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP, and PowerPoint.
β’ Experience working in ERP/legacy systems and handling multi-source data.
β’ Skilled in planning software and statistical forecasting tools.
β’ Strong communication and influencing skills in a cross-functional environment.
β’ Proven experience leading meetings and presenting to stakeholders.
β’ Agile, detail-oriented, and able to make informed decisions in fast-paced settings.
β’ Understanding of fashion industry sales cycles and order practices.
β’ Committed to continuous learning and development.
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Experience in fashion and accessories industries.
β’ Prior experience in training and developing others.
β’ Familiarity with Order Management processes and cycles.
β’ Experience with SAP AFS1 and SAP Business Objects.
β’ Knowledge of DPM Planning.
β’ Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools.
β’ Exposure to automation tools like Power Automate.
β’ Programming knowledge in Python, Visual Basic, or DAX.
