We're seeking a Data Scientist for a consulting position for our growing, global client.
• Start date: August 2025
• Duration: DIRECT W2 contract, 6 months; no third party vendors
• Location: Remote from the United States, supporting the Pacific Time zone
• Compensation: The hourly rate for a qualified candidate is expected to start around $45/ hr W2 plus benefits, DOE depending on experience. The offered compensation to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include (but are not limited to) the type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc.
Job Description:
• 4+ years of experience as a Data Scientist
• Proficient in development with Python and PySpark
• Experience with Azure Machine Learning
• Experience in developing ETL processes
• Experience in developing analytics
• Knowledge of ML libraries: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, etc.
• Strong foundations in ML models and metrics to evaluate effectiveness
• Solid experience in software development applying ML algorithms
• Experience in ML operations with emphasis on MLOps
• Experience conducting exploratory data analysis and identifying insights, as well as proposing possible root causes
• Experience validating results
• Experience presenting findings to business stakeholders
• Skills in management, communication, leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, critical thinking, and strong negotiation abilities
Responsibilities:
• Analyze datasets to discover trends and insights that drive business decisions
• Develop predictive and generative models using statistical, machine learning, and LLM techniques
• Evaluate, refine, and optimize LLM models for domain-specific applications, integrating them into analytical solutions
• Iteratively develop LLM-based solutions, including building knowledge bases, datasets, and performance evaluation methodologies
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders
• Ensure all deliverables meet governance standards and best practices in Advanced Analytics
