Primary Services is looking for a Data Scientist – Gen AI/ML to support a large and prestigious oil and gas client. This role focuses on the end-to-end development, deployment, and lifecycle management of advanced data science solutions at production scale. You will work across multiple business domains, transforming proof of concepts into deployable products while adhering to high-quality standards and contributing to community initiatives within data and analytics.
Responsibilities:
• Develop, deploy, and support full-stack data science applications and tools on digital platforms.
• Deliver production-scale data science products with clean, maintainable, and high-quality code.
• Manage product lifecycle from proof of concept to scalable deployment.
• Partner with research teams to convert prototypes into production-ready data solutions.
• Conduct audits, health checks, and code reviews to maintain digital quality standards.
• Benchmark new asset-related initiatives and evaluate performance before solution development.
• Collaborate across projects to share methods, tools, and best practices.
• Contribute to capability building through participation in centers of excellence and professional communities.
Qualifications:
• Advanced expertise in Machine Learning and Statistical Modeling.
• Strong skills in Exploratory Data Analysis.
• Proficiency in core programming languages and AI engineering essentials.
• Experience with DevOps and Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with cloud deployment frameworks, infrastructure, and tooling.
• Master’s degree or higher in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Knowledge of information management, data governance, and data strategy a plus.
• Commercial experience in value assurance, estimation, and realization beneficial.
