Job Title: Lead Data Scientist
Location: Weston, FL (Onsite)
Hours: Mon–Fri, 8 AM – 5 PM EST (40 hours/week; no OT or weekends)
Overview:
An opportunity for a seasoned Lead Data Scientist to guide impactful AI/ML projects, mentor a team, and collaborate cross-functionally to drive data-informed decision-making. This role blends advanced technical expertise with business acumen and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and mentor a team of data scientists in delivering end-to-end ML projects.
• Translate business needs from Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success into data science solutions.
• Design, develop, and deploy ML models (regression, classification, clustering, forecasting, reinforcement learning).
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and ensure data quality.
• Optimize model performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Set best practices and standards for data science workflows.
• Support strategic initiatives through data science roadmapping and stakeholder engagement.
• Stay current on AI/ML trends and promote a data-driven culture.
Required Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics).
• 7+ years of hands-on data science experience, including production ML deployments.
• Strong skills in Python or R; SQL expertise.
• Proficient with ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Experience with cloud ML tools (e.g., SageMaker, Vertex AI, Azure ML).
• Familiar with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Solid understanding of statistics, hypothesis testing, and data transformation tools.
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Agile/Scrum experience.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience in SaaS environments.
• Exposure to NLP, LLMs, NLU, RAG, or other generative AI technologies.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring in data science teams.
