This individual will apply advanced statistical and programming expertise to analyze complex datasets, build predictive models, and uncover insights that support strategic business decisions. The role requires a strong foundation in the scientific method, data wrangling, and machine learning, with the ability to communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Key Responsibilities • Apply advanced statistical methods and programming skills to analyze and interpret data. • Perform data wrangling, analysis, and exploration across large, complex datasets. • Build and validate machine learning and statistical models to support business needs. • Develop data visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights clearly. • Work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for data-driven improvements. • Stay current with emerging tools, frameworks, and best practices in data science. • Ensure compliance with company standards for data security and governance. Required Skills & Qualifications • 5–10 years of professional experience in data science or advanced analytics. • Proficiency in statistics and at least one programming language (R or Python preferred). • Experience with machine learning algorithms and big data processing frameworks. • Hands-on experience building predictive and statistical models. • Strong background in data wrangling, analysis, and exploration. • Proven ability to create data visualizations that drive actionable insights. Preferred Skills • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms. • Prior experience in the energy, utilities, or industrial sectors. • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
