OP is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior Data Scientist to join a team from a leading social media company. This team is dedicated to establishing the authenticity of users, businesses, and advertisers across our platforms, covering identity verification, account restoration, revenue protection, compliance, and harm prevention. Your expertise will support critical integrity functions that ensure our ecosystem remains trustworthy and compliant, impacting millions of users globally.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Lead complex data-driven projects to enhance verification processes, from problem framing through to execution and insight delivery.
β’ Develop and operationalize measurement strategies for verification and integrity initiatives.
β’ Analyze large-scale datasets to identify patterns, behaviors, and anomalies related to authenticity and integrity.
β’ Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and other data teams, to define metrics, design experiments, and implement solutions.
β’ Utilize machine learning techniques to address complex verification challenges, improve detection models, and optimize processes.
β’ Communicate insights and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, driving strategic decision-making.
β’ Work in ambiguous environments, providing clarity and direction to ensure project success.
Qualifications
β’ 10+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or related fields.
β’ Demonstrated expertise in querying and analyzing data using SQL; proficiency in scripting languages such as Python; familiarity with statistical software like R.
β’ Extensive experience solving complex analytical problems, understanding ecosystems, user behaviors, and long-term product trends.
β’ Proven track record of leading end-to-end data-driven projects, including metric definition, experimentation, and insights communication.
β’ Strong interest in tackling complex Integrity & Support challenges.
β’ Experience developing and operationalizing new measurement frameworks.
β’ Understanding of machine learning concepts and their application to verification and integrity issues.
Must-Have Skillset
β’ Advanced SQL skills.
β’ Hands-on experience with A/B testing and experimental design.
β’ Proven ability to collaborate with multiple teams in large organizational settings, including product management and engineering.
β’ Ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations and drive clarity and solutions.
Education & Experience
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Mathematics, Statistics, a relevant technical field, or equivalent.
β’ 8+ years of professional experience, with a Masterβs degree or PhD preferred.
