Role – We are seeking an experienced Data Specialist with expertise in Data Lineage to support our Data Provenance and governance initiatives. This role will be critical in mapping, documenting, and maintaining the flow of data across systems to ensure transparency, compliance, and trust in our data landscape.
Key skills:
• 5+ years of hands-on experience working with data lineage.
• Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices.
• Proven ability to manage and engage stakeholders (both technical and non-technical).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and within cross-functional teams.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., DAMA CDMP, Collibra Ranger).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field.
• Familiarity with data management tools and technologies.
• Consulting background is a plus.
• Strong communication skills (oral & written)
• Rights to work in the UK is must (No Sponsorship available)
Responsibilities:
• Map and document data flows and transformations across multiple systems.
• Develop, implement, and enforce data governance policies and standards related to data lineage.
• Provide data lineage evidence to support compliance, regulatory, and audit requirements.
• Collaborate with IT teams, data owners, and analysts to ensure complete lineage documentation.
• Train stakeholders to access, interpret, and apply data lineage information.
• Utilize data lineage and metadata tools for discovery and visualization.
