Data Visualization Director (Contract-to-Hire)

The Data Visualization Director will be a key influence on Leapcure’s impact, ensuring every insight we share carries both integrity, communicating gravity and storytelling depth. This person will be imperative to our mission and raise the bar for our storytelling and impact. You thrive in a growing company, driven by curiosity, not a zero-to-one startup or a turnaround. Your superpower is communicating to executive leaders above all else, then elevating and aligning the broader team through a collaborative coaching style. What you will do • Design and ship production-ready dashboards and reports that drive faster, higher confidence decisions for executives. • Create and scale standards, templates, and a lightweight playbook that others can use to produce consistent visuals. • Lead training and coaching to raise visualization skill across the company and align teams around executive-level communication. • Learn the clinical operations audience quickly through interviews, shadowing, and artifact reviews, then tailor visuals to their mental models. • Partner with sponsors, sites, and advocacy leaders to deliver client-ready visuals that build trust and highlight Leapcure’s differentiation. • Surface strategic insights that improve recruitment equity, efficiency, and ROI, and package them for leadership consumption. What you bring • A portfolio that shows executive-level data storytelling which changes decisions, not just dashboards. • Rapid implementation skills, moving from concept to production adoption within weeks. • Mastery with cost-effective tools such as Python, SQL, D3.js, Plotly, Observable, Metabase, Apache Superset, or Looker Studio. • Exceptional executive communication, including crisp framing, data integrity, and persuasive narrative design. • Demonstrated curiosity about new audiences and domains, ideally including clinical operations or adjacent healthcare functions. • A collaborative style that elevates others, aligns cross-functional teams, and leaves behind systems people adopt. • Experience in a growth-stage environment. You do not need a turnaround or very early startup context to feel effective. • Openness to responsible AI to accelerate design, automate reporting, and enhance insight without sacrificing integrity. Nice to have • Healthcare, clinical research, or patient recruitment experience. • Prior leadership of visualization standards or a center of excellence across a company or practice.
