Data Warehouse Architect
Pay Range: $75/hour to $85/hour
Contract/Contract-to-hire

About the Role
Weβre looking for an experienced and proactive Data Warehouse Architect to design, implement, and optimize our new data warehouse environment. This is a foundational role where youβll guide tool selection, establish data processes, and build a robust, scalable platform that empowers data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Youβll play a key role in transforming our current reporting capabilities into a modern, integrated data ecosystem β enabling our teams to access, trust, and act on data with confidence.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Platform Strategy & Tool Evaluation:
β’ Assess existing data capabilities and evaluate modern data stack tools, including Airbyte, Redshift, and Retool, to identify the best-fit architecture for our needs.
β’ Implementation & Architecture:
β’ Design and oversee the end-to-end data warehouse solution β from ingestion (ETL/ELT) to storage, modeling, and reporting layers.
β’ Process Development:
β’ Establish best practices for data governance, data quality, security, and documentation to ensure a sustainable, reliable data environment.
β’ Data Integration:
β’ Build and maintain data pipelines to integrate multiple sources into the warehouse, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
β’ Reporting & BI Optimization:
β’ Enhance Power BI and other BI tools for advanced reporting, dashboarding, and analytics capabilities.
β’ Training & Enablement:
β’ Develop documentation and conduct hands-on sessions to empower internal βpower usersβ and foster a data-driven culture.
β’ Stakeholder Collaboration:
β’ Partner with business leaders and technical teams to define requirements, provide technical guidance, and align data initiatives with strategic objectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
β’ Proven experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing data warehouse solutions.
β’ Strong hands-on expertise with data warehousing platforms and ETL/ELT tools (experience with Airbyte preferred).
β’ Proficiency in Power BI (highly desired) and/or Tableau for reporting and visualization.
β’ Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and optimization.
β’ Solid understanding of data modeling, data governance, and database management principles.
β’ Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to translate complex data concepts into actionable business insights.
β’ Strong project management skills, with experience overseeing data implementations from concept to delivery.
β’ A passion for mentoring and teaching, building data literacy within an organization.
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Bachelorβs or Masterβs degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
β’ Experience with Retool and/or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
β’ Certifications in data warehousing, cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Database β Specialty), or BI tools.
