Job Description
Our client is seeking a Data Warehouse Developer to support the Data Warehouse team. This role will contribute to the PRISM and OMS ReFRAME projects while continuing to support existing production environments. The analyst will work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, review and convert legacy coding, and ensure successful system development and maintenance. Post go-live, this position will provide ongoing support to ensure stable system performance.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Develop, maintain, and enhance large-scale, complex systems using PL/SQL, enterprise-class tools, and system utilities.
β’ Prepare detailed design specifications to guide system development efforts.
β’ Review, refactor, and convert existing code for improved efficiency and maintainability.
β’ Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for production systems, resolving issues to ensure continuous availability.
β’ Design and develop subroutines, applications, and processes in support of data warehouse and system development initiatives.
β’ Diagnose, isolate, and resolve software problems while considering system capacity, limitations, and requirements.
β’ Gather business requirements and translate them into clear technical specifications and documentation.
β’ Apply Data Warehouse design and development principles, including star schema and Kimball methodology.
β’ Perform thorough software testing, validation, and deployment support to ensure quality deliverables.
β’ Collaborate with business users and cross-functional teams to deliver effective solutions.
β’ Support project timelines while balancing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
β’ Work within an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
β’ Strong experience with PL/SQL development.
β’ Hands-on experience with Data Warehouse design, development, and maintenance.
β’ Proven ability to review, convert, and refactor existing code.
β’ Experience gathering and analyzing business requirements and creating detailed technical documentation.
β’ Familiarity with Data Warehouse structures, star schema, and the Kimball methodology.
β’ Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) in a team-based environment.
β’ Experience with system testing, validation, and deployment.
β’ Ability to diagnose and resolve complex system and software issues.
β’ Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
β’ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a customer-focused approach.
β’ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Experience working in an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environment.
