Our client, a global Banking/Financial Services company based in New York City, is seeking a consultant specializing in Snowflake Development and Data Warehousing. This position is a hybrid 4 days onsite in Midtown Manhattan.

β’ SUMMARY: The Consultantβs role will be to support a new multi-million dollar infrastructure spanning multiple global regions (NY, London, Asia).
β’ The clientβs infrastructure uses a combination of technologies, primarily Snowflake and Python, MS SQL Server, and Oracle database is a plus.
β’ You will work closely with various development teams and Business Managers to enhance the data warehouse and reporting elements of the platform.
β’ This role would suit a candidate with experience working within a regulatory reporting development. Previous experience working within Risk, Finance, or Product Control areas is desirable, although a strong track record of comparable experience in large-scale data warehousing implementations is also acceptable.
β’ Strong core PL/SQL knowledge, along with a solid understanding of data warehousing design principles, is required.
β’ Control M knowledge for batch processing is strongly desired.
THE SKILLS YOU NEED TO GET THE ROLE:
β’ Securities / Capital Market data experience is highly preferred.
β’ 6 + years of experience in both Snowflake and Python.
β’ CI/CD using GitHub and Git Actions, Team City, and SDA.
β’ Data Warehousing design experience and Kimball Methodologies, working within a large database development project team.
β’ Oracle or SQL Server development skills are desired.
β’ An understanding of Veracode scans.
β’ Control M experience for scheduling batches.
β’ Solid communication skills and the ability to simplify technical terminology into business wording.
β’ Ability to prioritize and structure workload for delivery requirements.
β’ Ability to develop strong working relationships with the Business, Finance, Technology, Audit, and Independent Risk groups across the bank.
β’ High level of comfort with on-call/out of hours support with a flexible approach to working hours.
β’ Ability to support reports production cycles.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the following :
β’ Ability to understand financial products and how they are reported on by the Product Control and Finance departments at an Investment Bank.
β’ Prior experience of supporting internal management reporting (Trading data ) will also be considered as an advantage.
