Database Administrator

Job Title: Contract Database Administrator (DBA) Location: Hybrid in Brentwood, TN (minimum 3-days a week on-site) Job Overview: We are looking for a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to support key database migration, disaster recovery, and modernization initiatives. This role will be heavily involved in Cosmos DB projects, Oracle Golden Gate implementation, and the migration from Oracle to Snowflake as part of a broader digital replatforming effort. The DBA will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Cloud Engineering, E-commerce, and DevOps, to ensure smooth database operations. Key Responsibilities: • Cosmos DB & MongoDB Plugin Support – Work on NoSQL database projects. • Disaster Recovery Implementation – Develop strategies to ensure database availability. • QLIK Decommissioning & Migration to Snowflake – Support data visualization/reporting transitions. • Oracle Golden Gate Implementation – Configure and manage data replication. • Database Migrations – Assist in various migration projects across platforms. • Digital Replatforming – Support the transition to microservices-based e-commerce systems. Top Skills Required: • Oracle Database Expertise – The primary technology stack. • Cosmos DB & Oracle Data Management – Experience working with structured and NoSQL databases. • Oracle Golden Gate – Strong understanding of data replication tools. Nice-to-Have (NTH) Skills: • Snowflake – Experience with cloud-based data warehousing. • Azure Certifications – Preferred for cloud-related tasks. • Microservices Knowledge – Helpful for application-side replatforming efforts.
