Role description
We are seeking a Denodo Database Developer with database-centric skills (SQL, Oracle) and Java familiarity. This 100% REMOTE role blends data engineering and software development, focusing on data virtualization. The Denodo Database Virtualization Developer will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining Denodo Views and data virtualization layers to unify data from diverse sources, including relational databases, cloud platforms, big data, and SaaS applications. Key responsibilities include optimizing query performance, automating data workflows with Denodo Scheduler, implementing security protocols, and troubleshooting integration and data quality issues. The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, data architects, and analysts to design virtual data models and ensure alignment with business needs.

Required
β’ Proficiency with Denodo Platform , especially in developing data views and working within its virtualization environment and Administration of Denodo platform.
β’ Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database design ( SQL Server, Oracle); ability to write complex queries and perform data modeling
β’ Experience with Java programming for platform administration and object-oriented design principles
β’ Design and architecture of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and web technologies is advantageous
β’ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams and translate technical requirements
β’ Experience with tools like Git, Jenkins, Maven, and familiarity with Agile software development methodologies
β’ Certifications such as Denodo Platform Certified Developer, Administrator, or Architect are highly valued
β’ Preferred experience includes working knowledge of web services (REST APIs), security protocols (OAuth, SAML), Snowflake Platform and integration with BI tools like Tableau or Power BI
Educational and Experience Requirements
β’ Bachelorβs degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
β’ Typically requires 2-5 years of experience in software development or specifically working with data virtualization tools
β’ Prior experience with ETL tools (Informatica, DataStage) and data quality frameworks can be beneficial but not mandatory.
