Role Summary
We are seeking experienced Database Engineers to support the design, development, and optimization of cloud-native database systems. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the performance, reliability, and scalability of the organization’s data infrastructure.
As a Database Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement PostgreSQL-based solutions, build APIs through Hasura, and manage cloud deployments on AWS. Your contributions will directly impact the accessibility, security, and efficiency of enterprise data systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and maintain scalable PostgreSQL database architectures
• Optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for performance
• Build and manage REST APIs using Hasura
• Deploy and maintain cloud-based databases on AWS
• Implement robust backup, recovery, and security protocols
• Collaborate with engineering and analytics teams to integrate data solutions
• Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues
• Stay current with emerging database technologies and best practices
Key Requirements
• 10+ years of experience in database engineering or a related role
• Advanced proficiency with PostgreSQL and SQL
• Hands-on experience with Hasura for API development
• Proven success managing databases in AWS environments
• Strong understanding of database design, performance tuning, and optimization
• Familiarity with data security, backup, and recovery strategies
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities
Preferred Skills:
• Certifications in PostgreSQL, AWS, or SQL Server
• Experience with NoSQL or other database technologies
• Exposure to modern API frameworks and cloud-native tools
