Through a multiagency contracting approach, the Collaborative Operations for Battlespace Resilient Architecture (COBRA) initiative focuses on advancing these technologies to achieve multi-domain battlespace integration and resilient command and control. This includes a broad range of services such as systems engineering, cybersecurity, operational integration, and data analytics, all aimed at modernizing communications and ensuring seamless information exchange for the DoD and its allies. Essential Job Responsibilities Database Engineer - Designs, develops, and optimizes database systems to ensure they are efficient, secure, and meet organizational needs. Works with various database technologies, including structured, relational databases like SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL and NoSQL databases for unstructured data. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with software engineers, ML engineers, and data analysts to plan, design, develop, and optimize large data storage and retrieval systems to evaluate system performance, improve design accuracy, and test scenarios for real-world applications. Analyzes system capabilities incorporating AI/ML models to resolve complex problems related to program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Prepares operating instructions that align with the latest advancements in AI technologies and simulation strategies. Ensures database standards while adhering to best practices in AI/ML integration and simulation methodologies.Perform duties within laboratory or cloud based environment. Minimum Qualifications • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience. • Must possess an active Secret clearance. • Ability to analyze system requirements and develop engineering specifications • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across engineering lifecycle phases • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in technical documentation Preferred Requirements • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools like MagicDraw or Cameo • Prior experience working with military or aerospace platforms • Master’s degree in a technical discipline is a plus Physical Requirements May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
