Genesis10 is currently seeking a Developer - Python - Hybrid position with a Major Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 2+ month contract opportunity. This role focuses on developing highly scalable applications using Core Python and web frameworks within an Azure environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system design, hands-on development with Python and SQL, and experience with Azure Databricks, building applications from the ground up. Responsibilities: • Develop highly scalable applications in Core Python • Work with Python web frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI • Perform various data analytics tasks and run queries using SQL • Leverage JavaScript technologies, preferably React • Operate within an Azure Databricks environment (PySpark, notebooks, job workflows, delta lake, etc.) • Utilize interconnected Azure components such as Functions, App Service, and Containers Requirements: • 8+ years of prior experience as a developer in the required technologies • Very strong Python/SQL foundational knowledge with experience building applications from the ground up • Demonstrated strong system design skills, including rationalization of architecture and articulating technical concepts • Current hands-on coding experience, not focused on support or QA roles • Scripting: Python, PySpark, SQL, Bash • Web frameworks: Django, Flask, or FastAPI • Azure: Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Functions, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Azure Event Grid, Azure Event Hubs, Azure Service Bus, Azure Key Vault, Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, Azure API Management (APIM), Azure DevOps • Databases: SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Delta Lake • Big Data: Apache Spark • Version Control: GitHub, Git, Azure DevOps • Visualization: Power BI & Integration with REST APIs for custom dashboards • Data Integration & Workflow Orchestration: Azure Data Factory, Databricks Workflows Desired skills: • Knowledge on Financial domain and mainly Risk management is highly desirable Pay range: $75.20 - $79.20 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
