BCforward is seeking a highly motivated Developer to support their pharmaceutical client in Indianapolis. Expected Duration: 8 months with potential to extend Location: Indianapolis, IN/hybrid Role/Responsibilities: The developer will collaborate with the offshore team, the users of the new system, and the business analyst to develop requirements, configure, and build code to protect sensitive information by restricting access based on predefined policies and user roles to ensure: • Identification: Determining who or what is attempting to access the system • Authentication: Verifying the identity of the user • Authorization: Granting or denying access to the system based on the user’s identity and permissions • Accountability: Tracking and auditing access to resources Building out this capability is important and the team will ensure users only have the minimum permissions needed to perform their work duties via: • Data Protection • Compliance • Risk Reduction The developer will also conduct unit testing to identify bugs early in the development process which will lead to improved code quality and reliability, build out system enhancements, and provide system validation. In addition, the Developer will perform ethical hacking or penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities in the system as a whole with the aim of improving security and preventing malicious actors from exploiting the financial data housed in this system. Consultant Responsibilities: • Represent the stakeholders and customers’ requirements. • Report status of deliverables to project management/leadership on a consistent basis. • Facilitate review and approval of user stories and requirements. • Communicate effectively and autonomously with team members to ensure consistent and complete documentation. • Self-manage tasks assigned according to required timelines. • Escalate issues as appropriate in a timely fashion. • Acquire and apply knowledge of the business and of overarching standards that apply to the project scope. • Collaborate with key team members to identify documentation points to ensure a functional, viable relationship between related concepts or processes. • Apply critical thinking to identify pain points, broken process, or overall opportunities to build efficiencies. • Apply continuous improvement mindset. • Escalate risk and issues timely and to appropriate client representatives.
