Role description
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Design, develop, and maintain C++ applications on Windows and Linux platforms.
β’ Work with Kubernetes clusters and Docker containers to deploy and manage applications.
β’ Integrate and support KubeVirt for virtualized workloads within Kubernetes.
β’ Lead the effort to migrate existing Windows-based C++ software to Linux, optimizing for performance and maintainability.
β’ Write robust unit tests using frameworks such as Google Test, CppUnit, or similar.
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, QA, and Product Management to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.
β’ Participate in code reviews, debugging, and root cause analysis of complex issues.
Required Qualifications:
β’ 5+ years of experience in Visual C++ development on the Windows platform β recent or current.
β’ 1β2 years of hands-on experience working with Kubernetes and Docker containers.
β’ Experience with KubeVirt or equivalent virtualization platforms in cloud-native environments.
β’ Proficient in both Windows and Linux C++ development.
β’ Demonstrated ability to convert or port Windows-based C++ code to Linux environments (preferred).
β’ Strong background in unit testing with practical experience in tools like Google Test, CppUnit, or equivalent.
β’ Focused software engineering experience with a strong emphasis on C++ and cloud-native systems β not generalized across unrelated stacks.
Preferred Skills:
β’ Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.
β’ Exposure to system-level programming and performance optimization.
β’ Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
