Role description
Job Title: DevOps Engineer - Azure Migration Location: Hybrid (2-3 days onsite) Type: Contract - Outside IR35 iO Associates have partnered with a small energy consultancy who are seeking a DevOps Engineer to support a large-scale Azure migration project for a major organisation in the Energy industry. You'll play a key role in designing, automating, and optimising cloud infrastructure as part of a critical digital transformation programme. This is a hybrid role, with a mix of remote and on-site work. Responsibilities: • Support the migration of complex application stacks and infrastructure to Microsoft Azure. • Build and manage automated CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps. • Implement Infrastructure as Code using Bicep, ARM templates, or Terraform. • Collaborate with development teams to modernise workloads and enable cloud-native practices. • Ensure system performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency in Azure environments. • Contribute to continuous improvement across infrastructure automation and delivery workflows. Requirements: • 3+ years in DevOps roles with a focus on cloud automation and infrastructure delivery. • Proven experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly around migrations and platform setup. • Strong skills in Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or other CI/CD tooling. • Background in scripting or coding (PowerShell, Python, or Bash). • Familiarity with Azure governance, RBAC, tagging, and cost management. • Experience with containers and orchestration tools (AKS, Docker). • Exposure to the utilities or energy, either directly or via third party
