Responsibilities
A client with Kforce is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their team in Orlando, FL. Summary: The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a DevOps engineering role, with a strong background in software development and system administration. You will be responsible for implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and cloud services to enhance our software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities:
β’ Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline processes and improve deployment efficiency
β’ Implement and manage CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or CircleCI
β’ Utilize Docker and Kubernetes (k8s) for containerization and orchestration of applications
β’ Write and maintain scripts in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash) to automate tasks
β’ Manage and deploy applications using cloud services (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP) and their respective management tools
β’ Understand and apply network protocols, IP networking, load balancing, and firewalling concepts
β’ Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices to automate infrastructure provisioning and management
β’ Utilize logging and monitoring tools (e.g., ELK stack, OpenSearch, Prometheus, Grafana) to ensure system reliability and performance
β’ Familiarize with GitOps practices using tools like Flux or ArgoCD for continuous delivery
β’ Work with Helm and Flyte for managing Kubernetes applications and workflows
Requirements
β’ Proven experience in a DevOps engineering role
β’ Strong background in software development and system administration
β’ Experience with CI/CD tools and practices
β’ Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes
β’ Familiarity with cloud services and their management tools
β’ Understanding of networking concepts and protocols
β’ Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) practices
β’ Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools
β’ Knowledge of GitOps practices and tools
β’ Experience with Helm and Flyte is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Experience with cloud-native architectures and microservices
β’ Knowledge of security best practices in DevOps and cloud environments
β’ Understanding of database management and optimization (e.g., SQL, NoSQL)
β’ Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices
β’ Experience with performance tuning and optimization of applications
β’ Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery strategies
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
