DevOps Engineer

Job Title: DevOps Engineer Job Description We are seeking a Software/DevOps Engineer to join our high-impact team focused on modernizing and automating sonar and software development pipelines for a cutting-edge Navy program in Manassas, VA. As a member of our DevSecOps team, you will play a major role in shaping the structure of these system pipelines and addressing a significant backlog of initiatives aimed at restructuring software builds. This is a hands-on opportunity for an engineer who thrives in collaborative environments and enjoys solving complex problems with autonomy. Responsibilities • Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines for sonar and software development systems. • Utilize Bash and Python to automate build and deployment processes. • Collaborate in daily Scrum meetings with a close-knit team and Product Owner. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development and production environments. • Contribute to restructuring efforts involving hundreds of thousands of lines of code. • Apply DevSecOps principles to improve security, reliability, and efficiency of pipelines. • Research and solve technical challenges independently. Essential Skills • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. • 4+ years of experience in software development or DevOps. • Proficiency in Linux command line and understanding of system resource management. • 2+ years of experience in C++ or similar development. • Experience in Python and Bash scripting. • Experience with CI/CD pipeline development. • Active Secret Clearance (must have before start date). Additional Skills & Qualifications • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes. • Understanding of hardware fundamentals and system-level architecture. • Experience with GitLab, OpenStack, Prometheus, or similar tools. • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies. • Interest in long-term modernization efforts and legacy code transformation. Work Environment This role is 100% on-site at the Manassas, VA location. The labs are secure, so personal phones are not permitted, but the facilities offer a comfortable work environment. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $75.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
