About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Full Stack Web CMS DevOps Engineer to join our Digital Experience Platform team. This multifaceted role blends enterprise web content management, modern full-stack application development, and cloud-based infrastructure and DevOps engineering.
You will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and automated solutions across the entire digital content lifecycleβfrom authoring and integrations to publishing, delivery, and monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Design, develop, and maintain secure web content management solutions using OpenText TeamSite, LiveSite, and related technologies.
β’ Build and manage CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools to support agile development and continuous delivery.
β’ Develop custom CMS components and applications.
β’ Automate administrative and deployment workflows across CMS authoring, LSDS/LSCS, and content delivery endpoints (e.g., cloud buckets, NAS, web servers).
β’ Administer and support Windows-based VMs, DNS, and load balancers (e.g., NGINX).
β’ Lead infrastructure design, server configuration, and platform documentation.
β’ Participate in on-call rotations for production support and maintenance.
β’ Write, deploy, and maintain clean, well-documented code.
β’ Collaborate with developers, infrastructure engineers, architects, and business stakeholders.
β’ Contribute throughout the full software development lifecycle.
β’ Manage source control using Git/GitHub, including branching, commits, and peer reviews.
β’ Engage in Agile ceremonies: stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
β’ Provide training and create documentation for end users and technical teams.
Required Qualifications
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
β’ Minimum 5 years of professional experience in software development, DevOps, or web content management.
β’ Proven expertise with:
β’ OpenText Web CMS (TeamSite v16+), OpenDeploy, and LiveSite.
β’ Workflow Modeler, FormsPublisher, SitePublisher components/rules.
β’ Experience Studio integrations/customizations.
β’ Full stack development experience, including:
β’ Backend: Java/J2EE, Node.js, Python, Spring Boot.
β’ Frontend: React, Angular, Vue.js, Svelte.
β’ TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6), HTML5, CSS3, XSLT, Perl, Presentation Templates.
β’ Modern UI libraries (e.g., Material UI, Tailwind CSS).
β’ Proficiency in data interchange formats (JSON, XML) and scripting.
β’ Familiarity with microservices, REST APIs, GraphQL.
β’ Containerized development: Docker, Kubernetes.
β’ Solid understanding of DevOps and CI/CD concepts:
β’ GitHub, GitHub Actions, pipeline automation.
β’ Build, deployment, validation, and support workflows.
β’ Windows Server administration and virtual machine management.
β’ Infrastructure components: DNS, load balancers (NGINX), firewalls, networking protocols (HTTP, TCP/IP, SSH, FTP, SMTP).
β’ Unit testing frameworks (e.g., Jest) and TDD practices.
β’ Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills
β’ Familiarity with taxonomy design and content strategy in Web CMS platforms.
β’ Working knowledge of XSLT and SQL, exposure to Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL.
β’ Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
β’ Exposure to monitoring and performance tools (Dynatrace, New Relic).
β’ Awareness of UI/UX principles, accessibility, and responsive design.
β’ Experience implementing analytics tags with tag management systems.
β’ Understanding of data layers and event tracking for analytics and marketing.
