Role description
DevOps Engineer Duration: 6 Months Location: Remote Rate: £375 per day DOE Status: OUTSIDE IR35 Clearance: N/A Start Date: ASAP Summary: My market leading client are looking to secure the services of a DevOps engineer to assist with critical project work over the coming months. Ideally coming from a consultancy background with strong experience working in AWS environments. Key Responsibilities: • Experience deploying to and managing multiple AWS cloud environments using Terraform. • Experience deploying AWS resources including RDS, ECS, API Gateway and SNS. • Experience using tools such as Vault, Artifactory, Docker, GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, and SonarQube; • Proven ability to design and implement CI/CD Solutions using GitHub Actions and Jenkins. • Strong Docker knowledge and experience • Proven experience designing and implementing operational monitoring and alerting solutions using AWS tooling such as integrating CloudWatch and SNS. • Strong understanding of AWS networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, routing, load balancing, security groups and DNS management (Route 53). • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell • Strong knowledge of Git and platforms like GitHub or GitLab • Incident response including problem solving, root cause analysis and debugging skills. • Strong communication and collaboration skills. Desirables: • Experience with monitoring solutions based on JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular.js and React.js) and Java/Spring at scale. • Experience configuring open-standards-based authentication solutions (using OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML) to secure application components. • A minimum 3 years hands-on experience in engineering or implementing solutions on AWS; • A certification in at least one of the following: AWS Solution Architect (Professional or Associate), AWS Developer or AWS SysOps; • Experience and knowledge of utilising/implementing the AWS Well Architected Framework If you’d like more information on the assignment, please drop me an email Adam.Rees@IdentifySolutions.co.uk – or give me a call on 07400 28 3333.
