Job Summary We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our 24/7 Streaming Infrastructure team, focusing on scalable deployments, infrastructure automation, and security as code . This hands-on role is responsible for maintaining high-availability systems, ensuring the uptime and stability of our streaming platforms, and supporting both infrastructure and security initiatives. The ideal candidate thrives in high-pressure environments, is comfortable with frequent after-hours deployments, and brings deep experience in AWS, virtualization, and Linux/Windows server administration.  Key Responsibilities • Administer and optimize AWS Infrastructure , creating and maintaining CloudFormation scripts for deployment automation. • Install, configure, and maintain Linux and Windows servers , including network setup, firewall ACLs, and security configurations. • Support and manage virtual infrastructures (VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi), creating and maintaining VMs, clones, and templates. • Monitor system performance, analyze metrics, and recommend improvements for scalability and stability. • Implement and manage security best practices —including WAFs, IDS/IPS, and log monitoring. • Develop automated operational tasks using bash, batch, or Python scripting. • Perform application maintenance, including debugging, patching, and release deployment. • Document procedures and configurations for infrastructure support. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot incidents, resolve outages, and improve deployment workflows. • Provide 24/7 on-call support and participate in after-hours maintenance windows. What You’ll Bring • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field—or equivalent professional experience. • Experience: • 5+ years in IT/Engineering, with at least 1 year in a 24/7 support environment . • Strong AWS knowledge (certifications a plus). • Hands-on experience with VMware administration and AWS deployment automation. • Proficiency in Linux in a virtualized environment; familiarity with Windows Server. • Technical Skills: • Network configuration (TCP/IP, firewalls, ACLs, routing). • Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub, GitHub Actions, SVN). • Understanding of Postgres, SQL, and NoSQL databases (a plus). • Experience with Active Directory and server hardware configuration. • Knowledge of Internet security best practices. • Capacity planning, redundancy design, and performance monitoring for virtualized environments. • Soft Skills: • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset. • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, shifting environment. • Clear, professional communication and cross-team collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications • AWS Certified Solutions Architect, SysOps Admin, or Advanced Networking certifications. • Familiarity with GitHub Actions workflows and automated pull request processes. • Prior experience in streaming or high-availability media platforms.
