Job Description: General:
Join our innovative team within the Manufacturing Science and Technology department at Pharmaceutical Innovative Medicine.
In this 12-month contract role, you'll be at the forefront of developing robust software applications that integrate data science and process engineering for commercial manufacturing activities across our full portfolio of products and global network of manufacturing sites.
Your primary mission will be to design, build, and maintain high-performance applications that enable real-time data monitoring, process optimization, and predictive analytics.

Responsibility:
Application Architecture & Development:
Create scalable and maintainable software solutions using modern development frameworks and languages.
Ensure that the applications integrate seamlessly with existing data systems.
Innovative Process Improvements:
Drive process improvement initiatives by developing customized software tools that enable data-driven decision-making.
Utilize your creative problem-solving skills to propose innovative solutions.
Predictive Analytics & Visualization:
Build analytics dashboards and visualization tools that transform complex datasets into actionable insights, empowering optimal process performance.
Agile Collaborative Development:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, providing technical support during process investigations and integrating feedback to refine application functionality.
Utilize agile methodologies and version control systems such as git to streamline development cycles.
Develop & Deploy Real-Time Applications:
Design and implement applications for real-time multivariate monitoring that support technology transfer and facilitate advanced manufacturing processes.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
A BS or MS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Candidates with engineering degrees in other disciplines coupled with robust app development experience will also be considered.
Programming & Technical Expertise:
Demonstrated proficiency in programming languages such as python or R, with hands-on experience in modern application development and software development environments (DevOps/MLOps).
Software Development Tools:
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., git) and agile development tools. Experience with integrated development environments (IDEs) and continuous integration and continuous development (CI/CD) practices.
Data Science Integration:
Understanding of machine learning and statistics (e.g., ANOVA, T-tests, supervised/unsupervised regression models, control charts) and the ability to create predictive models that can be embedded within software applications.
Effective Communication & Teamwork:
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with an emphasis on collaborating effectively within a multi-disciplinary team setting.
Bonus Qualifications:
Previous exposure to drug substance and drug product manufacturing processes is an asset but not a strict requirement when paired with exceptional software engineering skills.
