Senior EDI Developer Q Consulting is seeking a Sr. EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) Developer for our healthcare client. This is a mission-driven startup transforming healthcare with real-time data and intelligent workflows. The Sr. EDI Developer will build breakthrough solutions that enhance patient care and clinician efficiency. Our client operates as a remote-first team, prioritizing agility, proactive communication, and high performance while respecting personal time and fostering collaboration. Job Summary As a Sr. EDI Developer, you’ll design, develop, and scale key components of the healthcare platform. You’ll work across the stack, contribute to architectural decisions, and collaborate with engineers, product managers, and subject-matter experts to drive innovation. Key Responsibilities • Lead software design, mentoring engineers & ensuring high-quality development. • Build & deploy scalable, secure solutions that power healthcare applications. • Translate business needs into technical solutions & contribute to greenfield projects. • Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews & establish best practices. • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, SOC 2, and data security standards. Qualifications • 6+ years of professional software development experience. • Expertise in full-stack development (JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Python, Node.js). • Experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure). • Experienced in developing gateways for EDI and knowledge around EDI document types. • Strong understanding of system design, APIs, and software architecture. • Passion for solving healthcare challenges with technology. Preferred • Experience with FHIR, HL7, EHR systems (Epic, Cerner). • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance, FDA regulations & medical data privacy. • Background in DevOps, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code (Docker, Terraform).
