Job Description Remote W2 Engineer ektello is partnering with a leader in entertainment to find an experienced Engineer to join their growing team. This is a long-term, remote, W2 contract and includes PTO, paid holidays, medical, and 401k benefits. This is a remote role, but contractors must work EST hours. If you happen to be in Orlando, it would be a plus. Details • Provide secure design and engineering guidance for security data collection, insights, and analytics. • Onboard various data elements via a data streaming platform across NBC Universal’s business entities into data aggregation systems and Splunk enterprise • Create required system configurations, data flows, and knowledge objects to support the required use cases • Ensure uninterrupted ingestion of critical systems data into threat detection, analytics, and response systems. Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar discipline; or equivalent experience. • Vector experience is a plus for this team • Cybersecurity and data engineering experience with a focus on working with Splunk. • Deep understanding of SIEM security principles and how to apply them. • Experience implementing automation, pipeline, data processing, and security frameworks. • Splunk Architecture and Administration Experience • Familiarity with large security data solutions such as AWS Security Lake, Data Bricks, Snowflake, and Splunk • Experience with cloud computing platforms, specifically AWS and/or Azure. • Familiarity with Serverless services like AWS Lambda or Azure Functions • Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, CSS3 and HTML5, Git, and Unix administration
