Remote W2 Engineer
ektello is partnering with a leader in entertainment to find an experienced Engineer to join their growing team. This is a long-term, remote, W2 contract and includes PTO, paid holidays, medical, and 401k benefits. This is a remote role, but contractors must work EST hours. If you happen to be in Orlando, it would be a plus.
Details
β’ Provide secure design and engineering guidance for security data collection, insights, and analytics.
β’ Onboard various data elements via a data streaming platform across NBC Universalβs business entities into data aggregation systems and Splunk enterprise
β’ Create required system configurations, data flows, and knowledge objects to support the required use cases
β’ Ensure uninterrupted ingestion of critical systems data into threat detection, analytics, and response systems.
Qualifications:
β’ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar discipline; or equivalent experience.
β’ Vector experience is a plus for this team
β’ Cybersecurity and data engineering experience with a focus on working with Splunk.
β’ Deep understanding of SIEM security principles and how to apply them.
β’ Experience implementing automation, pipeline, data processing, and security frameworks.
β’ Splunk Architecture and Administration Experience
β’ Familiarity with large security data solutions such as AWS Security Lake, Data Bricks, Snowflake, and Splunk
β’ Experience with cloud computing platforms, specifically AWS and/or Azure.
β’ Familiarity with Serverless services like AWS Lambda or Azure Functions
β’ Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, CSS3 and HTML5, Git, and Unix administration
