Role description
Role Overview: We are seeking a hands-on Senior Developer to join our Client's Enterprise Batch Team. This hybrid role combines systems-level troubleshooting (Linux/Unix) with developer-level problem solving (scripting, CI/CD). The role involves supporting enterprise batch operations across 60–80 applications and contributing to modernization and data center migration initiatives. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Provide day-to-day support of enterprise batch processes β€’ Perform UNIX shell scripting (primarily Korn shell) β€’ Troubleshoot issues in Java, Python, and GitLab-based code to support development teams β€’ Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitLab β€’ Participate in modernization initiatives, including AWS integrations β€’ Contribute to enterprise Data Center Migration projects β€’ Assist application teams with issues related to jobs, pipelines, and modernization β€’ Handle occasional complex troubleshooting and debugging across system and application layers Required Skills: β€’ Strong UNIX/Linux shell scripting skills (Korn shell) β€’ Proficiency in Python and Java for troubleshooting and minor development β€’ Experience with GitLab and CI/CD pipeline management β€’ Ability to troubleshoot both system-related and developer-related issues Nice-to-Have Skills: β€’ AWS experience, specifically: β€’ AWS Batch β€’ Glue β€’ S3 β€’ CloudWatch β€’ EventBridge and Step Functions (bonus) β€’ Strong hybrid background (systems + development)
