Role description
About the role We are recruiting for an Enterprise Information Architect to join our Data Office on a 12-month fixed term contract. The role will provide technical expertise to support the Group’s Data Architecture Strategy and roadmap development. Leading structured analysis of business requirements, the person in post will translate these into data models and design to support the delivery of high-quality data services across the Group The Enterprise Information Architect will drive best practice and practical delivery of our data modelling and analysis including delivery of data model artefacts including Enterprise Information Model, Canonical Data Model, Conceptual Data Model, Logical Data Model, Physical Data Models, Data mappings and Data flows Managing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external partners, the role holder will enforce adherence to architectural standards/principles, product-specific guidelines and usability design standards. They will also ensure that all data models are fit for purpose, implementable, complete and meet the current and future needs of architecture across the Group. Our benefits include: • 28 days holiday a year plus bank holidays and a holiday buy/sell scheme • Annual discretionary bonus scheme • Personal pension with matched contributions • Life assurance (6 times annual salary) • Private Medical Insurance Location – We operate on a team led hybrid approach in either our Coventry or Manchester office About you To be successful in this role it’s essential that you will: • Be able to demonstrate experience in creating and managing an enterprise information architecture over a data architecture • Have strong demonstrable experience in information design and modelling; meta data management concepts and implementation. • Have experience in creating business glossary, data catalogue, data dictionaries; design and implement solutions. Familiarity with metadata management vendors and tools in the market. • Have experience in data modelling methodologies (Kimball, Data Vault, Lakehouse) Desirable experience will be: • A background in solution architecture (or equivalent) with practical experience designing and implementing complex data systems. • Have experience in direct influencing and consulting with senior business leaders • Proficiency with Purview metadata management tool About us We’re one of the largest building societies in the UK and we share a mutual goal across our branches and our offices to improve the lives of others.
