EPBCS Developer
Location: Pleasanton, CA
Role will require resource to come on site 2 days per week and then 4 days per week starting in October.
POSITION PURPOSE:
The purpose of IT - FPA Systems is to develop and support “Business Intelligence” platforms for FP&A users. These platforms are used for Financial Modeling (Forecasting and Planning) and Decision Analytics and Insights of financial and operational performance. The EPBCS Developer serves as a technical administrator for our Oracle Enterprise Planning Budgeting Cloud Service (EPBCS) application.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Work hand in hand with Lead to enhance the EPBCS application to support a new requirement for multi-country integrations and reporting.
• Ensure business users have necessary and accurate information on a defined schedule which in turn enables them to meet business objectives.
• Provide user support through research, diagnosis, and remediation of the technical aspects of user inquiries. Inquiries should be addressed in a timely manner with consideration to the business impact and responses should contain adequate information including reasoning, timing, and ripple effect. Findings should be shared with the team for knowledge management.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
The minimum education requirement for this position is a bachelor’s degree ideally with a Major in Computer Sciences or Finance.
Preferred Certifications: Oracle Enterprise Planning Budgeting Cloud Service (EPBCS)
Experience Level:
5+ years in addition to minimum education level listed above; experience in a retail, consumer goods, or supply chain is a plus. Consulting experience is a plus.
Skills and Experiences:
• Proven knowledge and experience with Oracle EPBCS and Oracle Hyperion Essbase database development, optimization, modifications and ETL processes.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and transform complex business requirements into easy to use, scalable, and supportable business applications.
• Experience creating NRCS reporting.
• Ability to summarize and visualize large data sets into usable formats.
• Working knowledge of large-scale financial modeling processes and applications.
• Proficiency using Microsoft suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Word; Visio a plus); and the ability to learn and use other software packages.
• Experience with the following would also be a plus: SQL, UNIX, relational databases, version/change control, EPM automation, PowerShell/groovy scripting.
