ETL Developer (Cloudera Data Platform)

Role Title: SSIS ETL Developer Location: Remote Project Duration: 12+ Months Contract Interview: Web-Ex Must have: • Experience with Cloudera Data Platform (CDP), including Hive and Impala • Knowledge of CozyRoc Component suite and the enhancements they provide • 2+ years of advanced experience working with JSON and XML within SQL Server • Excellent communication • LinkedIn page Overview: We are seeking an experienced SSIS ETL Developer to support, maintain, and enhance our existing ETL processes while driving modernization initiatives within a SQL environment. This role focuses on building scalable, efficient, and reliable data transformation workflows leveraging SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), CozyRoc (for API endpoint and Microsoft 365 integration), SQL Server Management Studio, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) via HDFS and ODBC, and Power BI. Responsibilities: • Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance existing ETL processes to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability. • Modernize ETL pipelines to improve efficiency, maintainability, and integration with modern data platforms and APIs. • Develop and optimize SSIS packages, leveraging CozyRoc components for interacting with API endpoints and Microsoft 365 services. • Utilize SQL Server Management Studio for advanced query development, performance tuning, and database management. • Integrate big data sources from Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) via HDFS and ODBC into ETL workflows. • Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards using SSRS and Power BI to deliver actionable insights. • Handle advanced parsing and transformation of JSON and XML data within SQL Server. • Collaborate with stakeholders, analysts, and data engineers to ensure data accuracy, quality, and timely delivery. • Monitor ETL jobs, resolve failures, and implement process improvements. Qualifications: • Proven experience as an SSIS ETL Developer with strong background in SQL Server environments. • 1+ years of experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI. • Hands-on experience with Cloudera Data Platform (CDP), including Hive, Impala, HDFS, and ODBC connectivity. • Strong knowledge of CozyRoc Component Suite, especially for API and Microsoft 365 integrations. • 2+ years of advanced experience working with JSON and XML in SQL Server. • Strong T-SQL skills for complex queries, stored procedures, and performance optimization. • Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail. • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in process automation and job scheduling (e.g., SQL Server Agent, Control-M). • Familiarity with Agile or DevOps practices.
