Role description
Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and process driven Finance Data Analyst to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing complex business and financial data, developing reports, and providing insights and process efficiencies to improve the integrity of our financial data operations. The ideal candidate has strong quantitative skills, proficiency in interpreting multi-dimensional data and experience with end to end business processes. Key Responsibilities Collect, organize, and analyse large sets of financial data from various sources. Input into detailed reports, dashboards and financial models for management to facilitate decision-making. Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in financial data. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant financial information. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with company policies. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Automate repetitive data analysis tasks using SQL, Excel, or other tools. Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Qualifications: Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field. Proven experience as a Data Analyst, Financial Analyst, or similar role. Experience working in the Utilities sector. Experience with ERP system implementation. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools such as Visio, Power BI. Familiarity with financial systems and ERP software. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly. Preferred Skills: Awareness of Utilities regulation within the Channel Islands Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
