Full-Stack Cloud Engineer – Azure

Location: Hybrid – Boston, MA Duration: 12+ months Contract W2/C2C Rate: $65 - $70 per hour Role Overview We are seeking a skilled Azure Full-Stack & Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize cloud-based applications and data pipelines. This role combines frontend, backend, and data engineering responsibilities, with a strong focus on delivering business-driven solutions using modern Azure technologies. Key Responsibilities Application Development • Develop responsive frontend applications using React (or similar frameworks) • Build and maintain backend services and REST APIs using C#, Java, or Node.js • Design scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud applications Azure Cloud Engineering • Deploy and manage applications using services on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform • Work with: • Azure App Services • Azure Functions • Azure SQL • API Management (APIM) • Key Vault Data Engineering & Pipelines • Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines using: • Azure Data Factory (ADF) • Azure Synapse Analytics • Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) • Build data ingestion frameworks from APIs, databases, and SaaS platforms • Ensure data quality, validation, and consistency Data Processing & Optimization • Develop batch and real-time data processing solutions • Monitor and optimize pipeline performance, reliability, and cost • Implement data transformation and orchestration workflows Security & Governance • Implement data security best practices (encryption, access control) • Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards DevOps & Automation • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps • Automate deployment, scheduling, and monitoring of workflows Collaboration & Business Alignment • Work with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements • Translate business needs into technical solutions • Contribute to architecture and design decisions • Document systems, processes, and data flows Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience) • 3+ years of experience in full-stack and/or cloud development • Hands-on experience with Azure services • Strong experience in frontend (React) and backend development • Experience building data pipelines and working with large datasets Preferred Skills • Knowledge of data modeling and performance optimization • Experience with multiple data sources and integrations • Familiarity with Agile development practices • Strong problem-solving and communication skills Key Competencies • Ability to connect technical solutions with business goals • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills • Adaptability and willingness to learn new tools and technologies • Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams
