Job Description:
β’ Expert knowledge of Google cloud services and have an Active Google Cloud Associate or Professional certification.
β’ Demonstrated ability to research, analyze, and evaluate existing and proposed business systems and procedures, develop requirements and identify Google cloud centric system solutions in detailed measurable terms that achieve optimum performance and cost effectiveness.
β’ Knowledge of industry developments, business information systems and practices, development methods, procedures, standards, techniques, Agile application life cycle, test driven development, continuous integration of code development, and current cloud technologies, in particular Google cloud.
β’ Experience leading the design, development and deployment of performant cloud business software, in particular Google cloud, at scale or current hands on technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization experience.
β’ Ability to integrate cloud services, in particular on Google cloud, with other SaaS or on premise technologies from leading vendor products Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, Linux, SAP, etc.
β’ Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements in a regulated environment such as SOX and PCI for cloud applications, in particular on Google cloud.
β’ Ability to automate complex tasks, in particular on Google cloud, using scripting or coding skills, or similar current automation tools (e.g., shell, Python, Ruby, PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, Chef, or Puppet).
β’ Knowledge of information systems enterprise-wide architecture including knowledge of a wide range of foundational technology such as cloud services, servers and storage, virtualization, high availability, performance analysis and management, and enterprise infrastructure monitoring for highly available web-scale systems.
Preferred Skills:
β’ Ability to communicate, orally and in writing, sufficient to develop and present management briefings; provide written and/or verbal guidance on technical issues; and prepare/present recommendations and reports.
β’ Using design patterns for building scalable and maintainable applications/solutions.
β’ Clearly document code, models, and technical solutions.
β’ Proficiency in Generative AI and prompt engineering.
β’ Continuous learning and adaptability in a very large IT organization.
β’ Communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and executive stakeholders.

Day to Day Responsibilities:
β’ Advises and assists IT functional groups to define and implement solutions aligned with a Cloud based Microservices / Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) for infrastructure or business applications.
β’ Creates architecture deliverables describing cloud solutions in sufficient detail to develop bill of materials, technology components, vendor components, cost estimations, and design parameters suitable for handoff to implementation teams.
β’ Prepares solution descriptions, assumptions, technical approach, and content that explains why solution is recommended, risks and mitigation plans.
β’ Leads cultural change for cloud adoption. Actively participates in the development and socialization of Infrastructure Solution roadmaps related to public cloud offerings.
β’ Creates and communicates cloud policies, procedures, standards, design patterns, and reference architectures that define repeatable solutions.
β’ Identifies training and development needs required to support cloud-based solutions standards; develops materials for training and awareness, and delivers messages to intended audience.
β’ Interfaces with vendors to ensure standard architectures are adhered to and implemented for projects within a specific technology area.
β’ Provides technical direction to management and systems professionals engaged in the analysis, design, development, implementation and maintenance of business information systems.
