Google Cloud Platform Engineer (Remote - USA)
We are seeking a GCP (Google Cloud Platform) Engineer to join our cloud infrastructure and operations team. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and reliable solutions on GCP. The ideal candidate has strong experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, and DevOps practices, with a focus on optimizing performance and ensuring compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
• Build and optimize compute, storage, networking, and security services to support enterprise workloads.
• Implement automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Deployment Manager, or Ansible.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and integrate GCP services with development and operations workflows.
• Monitor cloud environments using Stackdriver (Cloud Monitoring/Logging) and proactively improve performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Manage IAM roles, service accounts, and security policies to ensure compliance and data protection.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and operations teams to design cloud-native applications and migrations.
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and incident resolution for cloud infrastructure.
• Stay up to date with GCP best practices and emerging technologies to recommend improvements.
Required Qualifications:
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform engineering and operations.
• Strong knowledge of GCP core services (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC Networking, Cloud SQL/BigQuery, IAM).
• Experience with IaC (Terraform, Deployment Manager, Ansible, or equivalent).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, or similar).
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
• Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, and monitoring principles.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Google Cloud Certified Engineer (Associate or Professional level) is preferred.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with Kubernetes (GKE) and containerized workloads.
• Familiarity with multi-cloud or hybrid environments (AWS, Azure).
• Experience with data engineering tools (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub) or machine learning integrations.
• Background in DevOps, SRE, or cloud operations teams..
