Generative AI / Python Technical Architect

BCI has the following new position open with our direct client in Jersey City. This will be a long term / full time contract role with our company working on a large client project. We are looking for a hands-on Sr. Technical Lead / Architect with strong Python and GenAI implementation experience with systems in PRODUCTION. Will require strong coding skills in Python. Position will be hybrid with the need to be in the office 1 day a week. • Please note - for this position we can work on a W2/1099 basis. NO C2C/subcontractors. We can be open to sponsorship for the right person. Your expertise in GenAI will be needed to help create original content—such as text, images, video, audio or software code—in response to a user’s prompt or request. You'll work in an Agile software development environment supporting requirements/story development, software architecture and design, software development, and unit/component testing. Qualifications: • Minimum of 6+ years of experience participating in projects that focused on one or more of the following areas: Predictive Analytics, Data Design, Generative AI, AI/ML, ML Ops. • Strong experience with GenAI implementations in PRODUCTION – not looking for just POC experience. • Experience with Semantic search - not looking for just chatbot dev experience • Strong hands-on coding in Python a must! • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in AI/ML, with a focus on generative models. • 1+ years of experience architecting / leading high-impact GenAI solutions for diverse projects. • A minimum of 3 -5 years of hands-on experience using Python. • Design, develop, and optimize generative AI models to meet specific project requirements. • Proven experience participating in projects that focused on one or more of the following areas: Predictive Analytics, Data Design, Generative AI, AI/ML, ML Ops. • Lead the implementation of GenAI solutions, ensuring they are scalable, efficient, and secure. • Work closely with onshore and offshore teams, including engineers, and product managers, to integrate AI solutions into various applications. • Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of AI projects, from initial concept through to deployment and maintenance. • Stay current with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning and apply this knowledge to enhance our AI solutions. • Create detailed documentation for AI models and systems, including design specifications, implementation guides, and user manuals. • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers and team members on best practices in GenAI development. • Leverage advanced knowledge of Python open-source software stack such as Django or Flask, Django Rest or FastAPI, etc. • Statistics and Machine Learning models, deep learning models, natural language processing (NLP), Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN), and other generative models. • Experience working with RAG technologies and LLM frameworks, LLM model registries (Hugging Face), LLM APIs, embedding models, and vector databases. • Employ technical knowledge and hands-on experience with Anthropic Claude, Llama models, and other AWS LLM foundational models, BERT, Transformers, etc. • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and other AI frameworks. • Demonstrated experience in successfully implementing AI projects in real-world settings. • Experience in leading the end-to-end lifecycle of GenAI projects, from conception to deployment • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and a passion for continuous improvement. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing project requirements. • Experience in unit testing, integration testing, and test automation frameworks (e.g., pytest). • Experience with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS). • Experience REST API libraries and frameworks such as Fastapi. • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows (e.g., GitHub, GitLab). • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. • Familiar with Design Patterns • Mentor junior data scientists and GenAI engineers, fostering professional growth within the team. Preferred Skills: • Experience with deploying and managing AI models at scale. • Experience in leading the end-to-end lifecycle of GenAI projects, from conception to deployment. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. • Proven leadership abilities, with experience leading and mentoring technical teams. • Demonstrates sound judgment with minimal support from practice executives through structured problem identification, mitigation, and resolution. • Exhibits strong teamwork, consistently performing as a dependable team member with an excellent work ethic. • Maintains a flexible “can-do” attitude and a commitment to success. • Undergraduate or Graduate degree preferred.
