Salary commensurate with experience • Overview:  We are seeking a GIS Specialist who will support our client with developing software and/or implementing the automation of workflow processes as part of the client’s modernized content and hosting platform. This role will also be expected to support the scripting of new processes and testing of web services to ensure accuracy and efficiency of workflows. Duties: Configuring and working with databases and developing functions and queries. Developing, testing, and deploying GIS software and GIS datasets. Developing scripts and/or object orient programming (python preferred). Running GIS data extract, transform, load (ETL) workflows, manually or through scheduled automation, including triggers, actions, indicators, notifications, and logging. Testing and troubleshooting technical issues with GIS database scripts, tools, and/or workflows. Mandatory Qualifications: 6-10 years of experience in configuring and working with databases, developing functions and queries. 6-10 years of experience developing GIS software and GIS datasets then testing and deploying. 6-10 years of experience in developing scripts and/or object orient programming, python preferred. 6-10 years of experience in running GIS data ETL workflows, manually or through schedule, including triggers, actions, indicators, notifications, and logging. 6-10 years of experience in testing and troubleshooting technical issues with GIS database scripts, tools, and/or workflows. Desirable Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in geography, math, computer science, or related. An equivalent combination of advanced education, training, and experience will be considered.
