Role description
Role: Strategy Project Lead/Head of Insight/Director of Research (Contract) Day Rate: £560/day (Outside/Inside IR35 TBC) Start Date: ASAP Location: Hybrid London (client site and remote working) Duration: 2-3 months Overview We are seeking an experienced Strategy Project Lead to take over and deliver two ongoing strategic insight projects for a major household-name banking brand. Both projects focus on the first-time buyers market and are already underway - you will ensure a seamless transition, manage delivery to completion, and maintain strong client relationships. This is a hands-on strategic leadership role, ideal for an insight professional with a proven track record in multi-method research integration (quantitative, qualitative, social listening) and the ability to translate findings into clear, actionable strategies. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, facilitate workshops, and manage project teams to ensure high-quality outputs. Key Responsibilities • Take ownership of two live projects, ensuring smooth handover and successful completion. • Manage and guide project teams, providing direction, support, and motivation. • Integrate insights from multiple research streams (quantitative surveys, qualitative communities, social listening) into coherent strategic recommendations. • Design and facilitate client workshops to co-create actionable plans. • Act as the main point of contact for the client, maintaining strong communication and stakeholder alignment. • Synthesize complex findings into engaging, business-ready outputs for senior audiences. Requirements • Proven experience leading strategic insight projects end-to-end, ideally within financial services, housing, or similarly regulated markets. • Strong background in both quantitative and qualitative research methods. • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex, multi-source data into clear strategic direction. • Skilled workshop facilitator with excellent communication and presentation skills. • Experience managing and motivating teams in high-pressure, fast-moving environments. • Able to start immediately and quickly adapt to in-progress work.
