IBM Datapower API Consultant

Job Title: API Gateway Led / Senior Developer (Hybrid, Contract) Location: DMV, PA, DE (Hybrid) – Onsite every quarter Contract Duration: 12 months (possible extension, potential conversion) Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled API Gateway Lead and a Senior Developer with similar skill sets to join our team on a 12-month contract with potential for extension and conversion. The role requires working in a hybrid model and focuses on API management, development, and integration. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and implement custom API flows. • Publish APIs to API Management (APIM) platforms. • Generate reports using APIM Analytics. • Participate in customer onboarding onto the API Gateway platform and triage activities. • Collaborate with CI/CD teams to create custom Jenkins pipelines. • Support and maintain IBM DataPower v10 and IBM API Connect v10 environments. • Utilize Open API Specifications (2.0/3.0) and YAML in API development. • Use Bash/shell scripting for automation and process improvements. • Work with Terraform and Java (preferred) for end-to-end understanding and infrastructure management. • Experience with AWS and SwaggerHub is a plus. Required Skills: • Strong experience with API Gateway technologies. • Proficient in Python or Node.js. • Expertise in Jenkins Pipelines for CI/CD automation. • Knowledge of Open API Specifications (Swagger/YAML). • Experience with IBM DataPower v10 and IBM API Connect v10. • Bash/shell scripting skills.
