Role description
Title: IT Business Analyst
Duration: 12 Months (Contract)
Location/Site: 100% Remote
Bachelor Degree: (Required, Preferred or Not Required)
β’ Preferred/Years Experience.
Role Responsibilities:
β’ Support the Deposit Pricing and Rewards Engine (DPRE) by analyzing deposit product, rate, and promotional data across mainframe and distributed systems.
β’ Configure and validate deposit and promotional offers using Zafin user interfaces and Salesforce, ensuring alignment with business rules and pricing strategies.
β’ Validate API request and response transactions using tools such as SOAP UI to confirm accurate data exchange between DPRE, Zafin, and downstream systems.
β’ Utilize TSO/ISPF to review mainframe datasets, batch jobs, and outbound files.
β’ Assist with impact analysis for DPRE configuration changes, identifying affected applications, interfaces, and downstream feeds.
β’ Support testing activities (system, integration, and UAT) by executing test scenarios and validating expected outcomes across platforms.
β’ Create and maintain technical and functional documentation, including user stories, acceptance criteria, data mappings, and process flows, using Rally.
β’ Understanding of Deposit products, interest calculations, product defaults and processing, including CD/IRAs on a mainframe platform.
β’ Experience with Microsoft products and Azure.
Must Have Skills/Prior Experiences:
β’ Understanding of data concepts, including data flows, mappings, and validation.
β’ Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills with attention to detail.
β’ Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment.
β’ Strong leadership quality and ability to take the lead on assigned initiatives (with support).
β’ Strong organizational skills.
Plus/Nice to Have Skills/Prior Experiences:
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and Rally tool.
β’ Exposure to financial services, deposit products, or pricing systems (e.g., DPRE, PROMOX, Zafin).
β’ Experience creating simple process flows or diagrams.
β’ Knowledge of financial institution disclosures.
β’ Understanding of data transmissions and cloud-based applications and data movement.
β’ Experience with the Zafin platform, modules and products.
