Infrastructure Cloud Specialist
Reports to: Head of Infrastructure and Cyber Security
Direct Reports: N/A
Working Arrangements: Full Time, Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work

Overall Objective of Role:
Thomas Miller is looking to recruit an experienced/seasoned Infrastructure Cloud engineer with specific skills and experience managing and developing an Azure Cloud estate with a specific focus on Infrastructure as Code. This role will blur the lines between conventional Infrastructure operations (BAU) and Infrastructure as code Azure Devops\CICD. The successful candidate will be able to manage the Azure estate and provide guidance and technical direction to Application development team on enabled the Azure Devops. This role will also be required to upskill the existing team so some experience of creating process guides and mentoring is essential.
PaaS\IaaS Management
β’ Managing (creating, modifying, destroying) Infrastructure resources using Terraform
β’ Updating service principal secrets in TT, UKPI and Data Platform infra\integration services key vaults
β’ Assisting Wintel team with Win10\11 Azure VMs deployment configuration and issues
β’ Regular Azure Data Factory (ADF) Self Hosted Integration Runtime (SHIR) updates
β’ Troubleshooting connectivity, performance and other infra related issues in ADF data pipelines
β’ Creating and maintaining linked services in ADF
β’ Managing access and capacity on Azure SQL databases
β’ Managing Azure Databricks workspaces and associated infrastructure
Azure DevOps\CICD
Maintaining the Azure DevOps pipeline agents (Docker based) running within Azure container instances (ACI) infrastructure
Maintaining YAML based pipelines in ADO and supporting application development teams with the pipeline related queries
Azure Platform Management
Network management - IP address provisioning, subnets, vNet peering, user defined routing (UDR), Network Security Groups (NSG)
Hub-Spoke topology, ExpressRoute, Private Link, Private Endpoints, Service Endpoints
Virtual Machine, NIC, Disk management, VM availability sets, VM backup and recovery
