Job Title: Insights Manager
Type: Fixed-Term Contract (10-month Maternity Cover)
Work Mode: Hybrid (2 days on-site per week)
Location: London, UK
Responsibilities:
β’ Lead and manage a team delivering Management Information (MI) and actionable insights to support business operations across the UK and MENA regions.
β’ Provide strategic direction to ensure high-quality, data-driven reporting and analytics that support business decision-making.
β’ Collaborate with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams (e.g. Claims, Finance, Actuarial, Portfolio Management) to identify data needs and develop effective insight solutions.
β’ Manage team performance, develop talent, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
β’ Deliver complex analysis and guidance on strategic initiatives and projects.
β’ Promote a data-driven culture by providing training and support to business units in the use of MI tools and techniques.
β’ Ensure regulatory compliance with data protection, Solvency II, financial crime, and other relevant standards.
β’ Communicate insights clearly and effectively to senior leaders and stakeholders, driving operational and strategic impact.
β’ Provide interim leadership for associated insight functions during the contract period.
Requirements:
β’ Proven experience in leading Data & Analytics or MI teams, ideally within the insurance or financial services sector.
β’ Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at senior levels.
β’ Proficient in data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI, SSRS, and Microsoft Excel.
β’ Advanced SQL skills, with the ability to write and optimize complex queries.
β’ Demonstrated experience in business data analysis and delivering actionable insights.
β’ Excellent understanding of insurance business practices, particularly within underwriting or broking.
β’ Strong organizational, prioritization, and conflict resolution skills.
β’ Experience with training delivery and coaching teams on data literacy and MI usage.
β’ Familiarity with regulatory requirements relevant to the insurance industry, including data governance and risk management principles.
β’ Passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and embedding a culture of data-driven decision-making.
