Role description
A global SaaS organisation seeks an Interim Head of Finance Shared Services to lead transformation and consolidation of finance operations. You'll shape an international model across 13 countries, driving efficiency, standardisation, and automation. Overseeing O2C and P2P, you'll manage a team of 25-30, ensuring billing accuracy, strong controls, and improved working capital in a fast-paced environment. As Interim Head of Finance Shared Services, you'll shape the future of finance operations, leading a team through complex, high-volume billing and seamless AP processes. Partnering across Finance, Revenue Ops, and Tech, you'll drive efficiency, scalability, and automation. You'll ensure compliance with ASC 606 / IFRS 15, support audits, and standardise global processes while developing a high-performing team to enable sustained growth. • Provide strategic leadership for global Order to Cash operations across multiple business units and jurisdictions, ensuring accurate invoicing and effective cash application processes. • Oversee the Accounts Payable function by managing supplier payment processes, invoice validation, posting, and maintaining strong supplier relationships. • Collaborate with controllership and revenue accounting teams to ensure compliance with ASC 606 / IFRS 15 revenue recognition standards through accurate billing structures and audit-ready processes. • Own the operational delivery of working capital performance by driving improvements in DSO, supporting cashflow forecasting, monitoring collections versus forecasts, and mitigating emerging cash risks. • Ensure robust controls governing the flow of commercial transactions from CRM through to ERP platforms such as Salesforce or NetSuite, guaranteeing data integrity and correct invoicing. • Lead the migration and standardisation of finance processes from business unit-level teams into a consolidated shared services model while harmonising policies and reporting standards. • Support the implementation of SOX or SOX-ready control frameworks by maintaining strong internal controls across O2C and P2P processes and managing external audit relationships. • Oversee multi-currency billing and collections activities including FX exposure management, intercompany billing processes, and cross-entity reconciliations within a global context. • Develop a high-performance culture within your team by nurturing leadership capabilities among managers, establishing clear KPIs, accountability frameworks, and scalable organisational structures as the business grows. What you bring: To succeed, you'll bring deep experience leading complex, international finance operations, ideally in recurring revenue environments. You'll have strong O2C expertise, hands-on ERP/CRM integration knowledge, and a solid grasp of ASC 606 / IFRS 15 and SOX controls. Proven in multi-entity transformations, you drive standardisation and automation while leading teams through change, building trust, and delivering results collaboratively. • Demonstrated experience (10-15 years) in finance operations or shared services leadership roles within large-scale organisations. • Extensive background managing Order to Cash functions at scale in high-volume environments with recurring revenue streams such as SaaS businesses. • Proven familiarity with ASC 606 / IFRS 15 revenue recognition frameworks including practical experience supporting compliance initiatives. • Hands-on experience working with ERP and CRM platforms such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle or Salesforce in multi-entity settings. • Track record implementing or operating within SOX or equivalent control frameworks ensuring robust governance across finance operations. • Experience managing multi-currency finance operations including FX exposure considerations and intercompany reconciliations. • History of leading sizeable teams (20+ FTE), developing leadership capability among managers, and building scalable organisational structures. • Expertise supporting finance transformation projects or shared services consolidation efforts involving process migration and standardisation. • Strong stakeholder management skills enabling effective collaboration with Finance, Sales, Revenue Operations, Technology teams.
